Beyoncé Reveals Her Weight Prior to Strict Coachella Diet

July 26, 2019

Beyoncé has opened up about getting into shape for her stellar Coachella performance following the birth of her twins in 2017.

In a new video, the pop diva reveals how much she weighed prior to undertaking a plant-based diet and strenuous workout regimen, according to People.

“Good morning, it’s 5 a.m., and this is day one of rehearsals for Coachella,” the “Formation” singer says while stepping onto a scale. “Every woman’s nightmare… this is my weight, 175. Long way to go. Let’s get it.”

The clip promotes the 22 Days Nutrition program which she followed under the plan’s founder, trainer Marco Borges.

Borges named the program based on the concept that it takes 21 days to break a habit, so the 22nd day is the start of a new healthier way of living.

While the plan consists of no meat, sugar, or alcohol, Queen Bey actually doubled the regimen to 44 days “to meet her goals for Coachella.” Bow down!

The icon was originally set to headline the music festival in April 2017 but had to drop out after getting pregnant with twins. While Lady Gaga stepped in that year as her replacement, Beyoncé announced she would headline the following year.

Following the birth of Rumi and Sir, ”The Lion King” star disclosed she weighed 218 lbs.

"In order for me to meet my goal, I'm limiting myself to no bread, no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no meat, no fish, no alcohol," Beyoncé previously said in her Netflix documentary “Homecoming.”

While she clearly met her fitness goals and then some, Beyoncé’s Coachella performance is legendary and historic, as she became the first black woman to headline the festival.

Flawless, indeed.
