New Homeowners Get a Cat They Weren't Expecting

July 11, 2018

When you buy a new house you negotiate for appliances and light fixtures maybe, but usually not the pets. A woman named Miranda from Washington also didn't negotiate for a cat when she bought her new house...but she got one anyway. Check out this sweet note she found upon moving in that she posted on social media.

"Welcome to our beloved home! We hope you enjoy it as much as we have! There's one favor we ask of you, you do not have to do it, but we would appreciate it if you did. In the backyard there is an old orange kitty who lives there. He is feral and was born in our backyard 12 years ago. He has an injured paw and will not let you go near him. We feed him everyday twice a day and we have for years now. We usually feed him some dry or wet cat food with some water on the porch in the backyard. We bought  him a little house for the winter and rainy days, that is placed against the wall in the backyard. We would really appreciate it if you would continue to feed him. We just hate leaving him behind. God Bless and welcome to your new home."

Miranda told Bored Panda that by the tim ethey read the note, the cat was already waiting at the door. "He wasn't scared of us at all, when we are outside he keep his distance but he doesn't run, he even comes to the door to let us know when he's hungry!"

I took this yesterday we sat at the door while he ate and cracked the door open so he could hear our voices #cat #stray #kitty #pets
