FEEL GOOD STORY: High School Cross Country Team Takes Rescue Dogs for Runs

September 13, 2018

St Joseph High School in California had a great idea from their cross-country coach. Take dogs from shelters for runs with them when they practice running. I love this idea!

Most shelter dogs spend their days in small kennels so giving these dogs a chance to get out and really run is so wonderful.

They hope to inspire other school's cross country teams across the country to replicate running shelter dogs in their runs!

Coach Luis Escobar posted this on Facebook:

"...we successfully completed the first ever tea Dog Run! Each team member was assigned a dog and we went out for a couple miles around the shelter. I am not sure who was more excited and having the most  fun...the dogs or the kids."
