Senator John McCain passed away on Saturday (8/25) at the age of 81 after battling an aggressive form of brain cancer. America mourned the loss, but we're touched even more by this beautiful tribute from his daughter Meghan.

"I was with my father at his end, as he was with me at my beginning. In the thirty-three years we shared together, he raised me, taught me, corrected me, comforted me, encouraged me, and supported me in all things. He loved me, and I loved him. He taught me how to live. His love and his care, ever-present, always unfailing, took me from a girl to a woman -- and he showed me what it is to be a man."

She continued saying that now that her dad is gone, she is more motivated to spend her life living up to "his example, expectations, and his love."

The Senator's wife also posted a tweet saying she was broken hearted:

The Senator made his own arrangements before he died. He will be buried near to his best friend at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. John McCain requested that former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush deliver eulogies at his funeral. Both Obama and Bush will deliver their remarks during a service at the National Cathedral.

Former Vice President Joe Biden will speak at a separate service honoring the senator in Arizona. According to the Associated Press, two White House officials said McCain's family had asked, before the senator's death, that Trump not attend the funeral services.

Our deepest condolences go to the McCain family and we thank you, Sir, for your many years of service.
