St Patrick's Day Events

No matter if you are Irish or just love a good time, there's plenty of ways to celebrate in and around our city. Happy St Patrick's Day!


Thursday, March 14th

  • Irish Channel St. Patrick’s Day Club block party, Annunciation Square, 10am-6pm - Irish music, food, and drinks aplenty will be available with the proceeds benefitting St. Michael Special School. (event info)


Friday, March 15th

  • Molly's at the Market Irish Parade, 1107 Decatur St, 6pm - Molly's is the starting and ending point for the Quarter's parade. (info)


Saturday, March 16th

  • Tracey's and Parasol's Block Parties, Magazine and 3rd Streets, 11am - Both bars throw big parties for St Patrick's Day and the Irish Channel parade rolls right in front of Tracey's.
  • Irish Channel Parade, Starts at Magazine and Felicity, 1pm - Rolls from Lower Garden District, over to St Charles, turns onto Louisiana then rolls back down Magazine, and finally ends at Jackson and Annunciation. (route)

Sunday, March 17th

  • Tracy's Block Party, Magazine and 3rd, 11am - Just because they threw a big party the day before doesn't mean they won't do it all again on the big day itself. (event info)
  • Metairie Road St Patrick's Day Parade, starts at Rummel High School on Severn, 12pm - Rolls down Severn, along Metairie Road and ends on Focis St. (route)
  • Downtown Irish Club Parade, Bywater to Quarter, 6pm - Begins on the corner of Burgundy and Piety in the Bywater, proceeds roughly up Royal, across Esplanade to Decatur, up Canal to Bourbon. (website)


Saturday, March 23rd

  • Italian-American St.Joseph's Parade, Quarter, 6pm - Makes it's way from Canal through the Quarter before ending at the Hilton on Convention Center (parade info)


Sunday, March 24th

  • Louisiana Irish-Italian Parade, Traditional Veterans Blvd in Metairie, 12pm - Celebrating both the Irish and the Italian side of our heritage so you can wear green or red and white and fit right in. (parade info)


Saturday, April 6th

  • St. Bernard Irish Italian Islenos Parade, Chalmette, 12pm - 42+ floats, 30+ marching groups 1000+ members and 400,000 pounds of produce. (parade info)
